Who Belongs?

People who love the game of golf and collect items related to the game of golf. Our members come from all walks of life and from all parts of the world.

Are there Society shows that are open to the public?

Yes. If you are interested in golfing collectibles, a GCS regional or annual show is a must. The annual meeting trade show is the largest antique show of its kind dedicated to one collecting interest - golf. Most shows will announce when the public is welcome and most are free of charge.

How do I determine the value of items?

Just like antiques in general, the value of a collectible golfing item will depend upon its condition, its scarcity, its quality of construction, its age and on demand for the item. The GCS Regional Shows are the best place to learn more about the value of your collectables as the true value can only be determined by hands on viewing. Please do not contact the GCS office as there is no one on staff who is qualified to assess values on items. We do have a Resources page we hope will be informative.

How do I determine when an item was made?

There are several books in print that can give the novice a general idea when a golf collectible was made. When in doubt, however, consult an expert. The GCS Regional Shows are a great place to meet other collectors and learn about your collectables.

Are there any books in print that will give me information
on age and value of golf collectibles?

Yes. Please check the Resources page
