Allen Johnson of Randolph, Vermont spent the 4th of July promoting hickory golf. His home course - Montague Golf Club, located in the small Central Vermont town of Randolph, entered a float in the annual Independence Day parade. The theme of the parade was sort of a "past and present", so he volunteered to be part of the show. Allen paraded in traditional golf attire, carrying his hickory clubs. The Montague Golf Club float follows Allen and the golf cart accompanying him. Allen reported that, “We all had a great time participating on behalf of our club, which is one of the oldest in Vermont.” |
