Each year, the World Golf Hall of Fame adds to its membership by inducting the greatest players and contributors in the game of golf. The road to induction begins in January when the PGA TOUR and International ballots are distributed to their respective voting bodies, comprised of golf journalists, historians, Hall of Fame members and dignitaries. The year's activities culminate at the Induction Ceremony each fall.
The ballots are due by the final round of THE PLAYERS Championship each year. Nominations for Lifetime Achievement and Veteran's categories are presented to the Board of Directors, who makes selections for these categories. News conferences take place at various tournaments during the spring and summer to announce the new class.
