Golf Themed Easter Cards

Greeting cards with golf themes have been created for nearly every occasion, including Christmas, Valentines Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, anniversaries and birthdays.  The Easter holiday is no exception.

The Easter rabbit (or bunny) has become one of the most favorite Easter symbols.  However, it is not a modern in origin.  The symbol originated with the pagan festival of Eastre.  The goddess, Eastre, was worshipped by the Anglo-Saxons through her earthly symbol, the rabbit.

It was the Germans who brought the symbol of the Easter rabbit to the United States, although it was largely ignored until shortly after the Civil War.  In fact, Easter itself was not widely celebrated in America until after that time.

Shown here are a variety of golf-themed Easter card featuring the Easter rabbit.  Another shows baby chicks, another popular Easter symbol.
